I create machine-pieced abstract art-quilts. Most of the fabric is my hand-dyed cotton, and I machine quilt all my work. I collage fabric shapes on the design wall, and eventually create an image that emerges as an expression of an event in my life. I have studied with Nancy Crow for 12 years.
In the past 5 years I have been painting in acrylics on canvas, and have taken painting classes with Carolyn Dodson-Grimm and David Kessler. Recently I started using marks from my paintings to create motifs for new quilted work.
I live in Huntsville, AL and retired 11 years ago from NASA.
